About

I build open-source tools and write about the intersection of data, AI, and business intelligence.

I'm a data engineer with a background in finance (ESCP Europe), based in Tokyo. I've spent years helping companies build data infrastructure on Azure and Databricks — over 50 companies across industries.

Today, I focus on building tools that make Power BI professionals more productive. Semantic Model Explorer lets you drop a Power BI file and explore it in the browser — or copy the model as structured Markdown to paste into an LLM. Power Query Explorer extracts and visualizes M code from Excel and Power BI files.

I'm particularly interested in where AI and BI meet: using LLMs to understand data models, AI-assisted DAX authoring, and building CLI tools that let agents interact with Power BI. I also teach Artificial Intelligence at the Master's level.

This site is where I share what I learn. No freelancing pitch — just tools, articles, and the occasional opinionated take on where the data industry is headed.
